Welcome to Pink Pagoda

Lighting a candle rather than cursing the darkness!

Pink Pagoda is dedicated to changing the outcome of a very hard decision that some parents are driven to in the Peoples Republic of China. The national policy of one child per couple plus the traditional place of the first born male as the provider for parents in their old age leaves many couples with a dilemna of what to do if their child is a girl. Some make the tragic decision to end her life and try for a boy. Here at the decision stage is where our program steps in. Through a word of mouth information campaign we have shown over 27,000 families that allowing their child to live and be adopted by a foreigner is a much preferred option to infanticide. They have agreed with us.

Help us to do this most difficult work in changing the outcome for the thousands of young girls who would otherwise loose their lives. Your donation saves lives. We say a very grateful thank you to those who assist us in this endeavour.

One of the harsh realities of the national policy of one child per family in the Peoples Republic of China is the diminishing value of females. I have struggled with how we might help save some of the females that are cast aside in some of the poorer districts of China and on my last sojourn in Chongqing I met with a number of adoption agencies and was advised of ways that we might help.

  1. An information program to let the Chinese folks know that their children are loved and needed by folks from all over the world who would love to adopt them.
  2. A program to provide transportation for the folks and their babies into central locations for the adoption agencies to meet and explain the process to them.
  3. A program to help share the cost to couples wishing to adopt who would not normally qualify for the right to adopt.
  4. Facebook users that will spread the message to their various networks and encourage their friends to join Pink Pagoda
  5. State and Provincial coordinators who will take charge of the dissemination of information and the encouragement of those of who wish to give in support of our efforts.

Each of these initiatives require funds to back the efforts. Should you choose the opportunity to donate to Pink Pagoda, please use our Paypal donation button.
